Design Build - a holistic approach to remodeling.
Have you been holding back from having that party? Would some changes make your home a better place for entertaining? Or, perhaps a growing family is leaving you feeling a little cramped. What ever the reason, our design team takes the time to understand your particular needs are, and create a solution that fits for you.
- Excellence in design
- Committed project development team
- Once a budget has been established, we stick to it
- Integrated project management from start to finish
- Complete remodeling solution
The first step: Call us or fill out our form. We'll take the time to understand what you're looking for to determine if it makes sense to schedule a meeting at your home.
We'll first complete a partial design with alternatives and options. This will be a set of rough project options. We'll help you visualize what each would be like to live in. This is an exciting stage: the project starts to become tangible.
- Budget check before too much has been invested in design
- Team approach early on
- Value engineering
- Thorough, early site inspections result in buildable designs
- Evaluate and finalize windows and doors
- Set up budgets for other finishes
The project plan is complete including floor plan, elevations and structural analysis. The last step is to choose all the finishes and apply for permits. Some of the final decisions we'll make as a team are:
- Flooring
- Appliances
- Plumbing and light fixtures
- Cabinet details and counter tops
- Hardware like door knobs, towel bars, glass enclosures
By the end of Stage 3, we will have a final scope of work with a fixed price. Because of the efforts we put in up front, we minimize surprises and change orders.
Break ground!! The team has worked hard to get us to this point. The permits are issued, we have a complete schedule and the staff is ready. The experience of remodeling with Acton Construction includes:
- Defined and posted job site rules for all providers
- A job site communications station with log book, plans, permits, etc.
- Ongoing two way log book
- Weekly Home Owner Meetings (WHOMs)
- An online communication portal
- Upon completion - delivery of warranty and information packet
